The study of International Relations (IR) is an attempt to explain the behavior that occurs across the boundaries of the states or private, state, non-governmental, and intergovernmental institutions. IR is becoming increasingly relevant as the world grows more and more interconnected through trade and commerce, migration, internet and through social media, and concerns about pressing global environmental problems. Taking Turkey’s particular place in the complex international system into account, there is no doubt that the country needs more well-educated and competent young people who can understand and analyze global dynamics. COMU IR undergraduate program aims at meeting this need of well-educated and competent human resources of Turkey.
